Prince PHT Charming, Born and raised in Pasadena, Texas, is a boy straight out of the suburbs. The hardships in his life, much like the typical experiences of many rappers, are somewhat distinct. Many are haunted by the life of a ghetto. Guns, drugs, violence and inequities that normally plague the ghetto was something he did not face on a day to day basis; however, it is not to say he was never exposed to such a life. Prince Charming, otherwise known as P.H.T. was brought up differently. He may be classified as one of the “lucky ones”. He had his chance to go to good schools, live in a middle class environment, and receive a top of the line education centered on respect and morals. His family was not so lucky on the other hand. They did live in a lower class society. His weekly visits growing up would open his eyes to what many rappers know as “every day”. Experiencing life in the ghetto, growing up seeing the harsh wrath of life swallow his two older brothers’ youths, witnessing drugs, violence, and negative influences, Prince Charming developed an ambition to be successful. He learned how to turn the other shoulder, think positively, think proactively, and progress naturally. He refused to let hardships and inequities consume his dreams.
